Cancer Does Not Discriminate!

Whether you are 2 or 92, cancer affects us all. Whether you are black or white, red, brown or, yellow, Cancer does not discriminate! Everyone is susceptible to cancer... you... your spouse... cancer doesn't care if you are rich, poor or somewhere in between. This is my lovely baby sister....

Today my baby sister would have been 24years old. As anyone knows who has lost a close loved one, it is the hardest thing a person goes through in this lifetime. My heart will never be the same. I have a empty hole in it. When she died she took a little bit of each of us. My sister had Neuroblastoma, and it took her at the young age of 4! Years have past and we still spend her birthday remembering her and remembering the things she would say. :) Today I spent the day talking to her to my kids who are now 12 and 5. My daughter says "Mama, I want to meet her." I tell her "We will when we go to heaven." I am so thankful to God that my children are in good health and spirits.

Cancer.

It is amazing how one 6 letter word can instill fear into thousands of people. It touches all of our lives at some point. Whether it’s a family member, a friend, or a co-worker… At some point we all know someone who is fighting to see that next birthday. And cancer doesn’t discriminate, either. Young or old; male or female; rich or poor; tall or short; athletic or couch-potato; mother, father or child… It affects people of all ages and all walks of life. Myself, I have seen co-workers fight cancer and live to see another birthday. I have had 2 aunts fight breast cancer and leave this world too early. It has touched my grandparents, friends’ families, and acquaintances. Here’s praying we all see more birthdays
& In memory of my baby sister Vanessa

Metallic Pants....Would you wear them?

It was a trend in 2004, But it didn't catch on... It was a trend in 2004, But it didn't catch on... Now in Fall 2012, once again a trend? I love metallic, I love anything that glitters or shines so I would consider these in a black metallic jean or in gray metallic. I think I would pair them with a solid top and minimal accessories. :) I loving this trend!;)

MAC: Spring and Summer Lingers into Fall:

Spring and Summer Lingers into Fall

MAC Cremesheen + Pearl is a new collection now available online (and will hit stores on August 9th) that features eight lipsticks (all with Cremesheen finishes) and seven Cremesheen Glasses. All fifteen lip products are new, but here’s the surprising news: they’re also permanent! This post features these four lipstick shades: Coral Bliss (frosted light coral), Japanese Maple (frosted light beige), Peach Blossom (frosted cool nude), and Pink Pearl Pop (frosted midtonal pink).

* Coral Bliss is a soft pink coral with a natural sheen. It yielded mostly opaque color coverage. MAC Ever Hip is slightly pinker and has a glossier/wetter look. MAC So Vain is darker. MAC Razzledazzler is slightly darker and less pink. NARS Bolero is lighter and matte in finish. Burberry Devon Sunset is darker and less pink. MAC Cut a Caper is slightly pinker.

* Japanese Maple is a subdued beige nude with semi-opaque color coverage. MAC 3N is slightly pinker. Make Up For Ever #N40 is pinker. Tom Ford Blush Nude is similar but has a creamier look, giving it a thicker and lighter appearance. MAC Woo Me is pinker. MAC Naked Bliss is cooler-toned. Maybelline Born With It is similar but a smidgen pinker.

* Peach Blossom is a soft rose pink with semi-sheer color coverage. It just barely has a cool-tone to it, and I don’t know if this is what most would conjure up when they hear “cool nude.” Chanel Emprenite is lighter. Guerlani Rose Ensoleille is pinker. Bobbi Brown Miami Coral is more opaque. Chanel Flirt is similar but a smidgen pinker. Guerlain Rose Desir is very comparable in color.

* Pink Pearl Pop is a subtly blue-toned medium pink with soft lilac-pink shimmer. It has semi-opaque color coverage. This shade did not apply as evenly as the other three. MAC Venus is darker and not blue-based. Becca Valentina has more rose in it. Le Metier de Beaute Fiji is cooler-toned. Chanel Paradis is similar. Chanel Belgravia is more intense. Revlon Carnation has a stronger blue undertone.
